Background

A long-standing
connection with Japan

Maison Gaspard GK was established in 2025 by a French family whose connection with Japan began with traditional Japanese martial arts and has grown over several decades to span cultural, academic and professional ties. One family member works professionally as a Japanese translator; another studies Japanese language and culture academically; a third practises traditional Japanese martial arts long-term, lives between France and Japan and is directly involved in the company’s on-the-ground operations; and a fourth has migrated to live full-time in Japan.

The family has experience managing several companies in France and brings this operational background to Maison Gaspard GK. The company was incorporated as a Japanese legal entity to operate locally, transparently and in accordance with Japanese business practices.

Philosophy

Long-term ownership,
responsible stewardship

Our approach is based on long-term ownership: we acquire entire buildings for our own account, renovate where appropriate, lease to tenants, and hold for the long term.

We aim for stable rental income, long-term capital preservation, and assets denominated in yen. We acquire properties in cash, and remain open to secured financing on acquired properties thereafter.

We aim to be a reliable, long-term presence in the communities where we own properties.

Operations in Japan

Japan-based operations

Our head office is located in Saitama City. A managing member makes regular extended stays in Japan to visit properties, engage with financial institutions, and work with professional partners directly. We operate in accordance with Japanese law and business practice.
